Dr. Thomas Andrew and Kim Fallon to serve on multidisciplinary team for the National Institute of Justice

Death investigation guide

Over 25 death investigation professionals will revise the “Scene guide for death investigators”.

The seminal scene guide for death investigators, originally released in 1999 and updated in 2011, is once again undergoing review and revision.

The National Institute of Justice Office of Justice Programs in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Injury Prevention have assembled a multidisciplinary team of over 25 death investigation professionals from around the nation for this project.

Kim Fallon and Dr. Thomas Andrew are honored to be part of this effort. Dr. Andrew is on the sub-committee revising the “Documentation and Evaluation of the Body” chapter and Ms. Fallon serves with the sub-committee revising the “Completing the Scene Investigation” chapter.

Andrew and Fallon bring a combined 60+ years of experience in the evaluation of sudden, unexpected and violent death to this task and look forward to delivering a quality product that is of use at every scene, every time
